Tom Uelner

Company CEO

Tom has lived and breathed Tool and Die ever since he was a teenager. He earned his journeyman’s card while attending college and then graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he graduated with his business degree. He has been active full time ever since, becoming the owner and president of UTD in 1982. Tom’s wealth of knowledge in the Tool and Die and metal stamping industry has grown to over 45 years strong. Although it doesn’t stop at just tooling and metal stamping, his expertise branches out into fabricating, engineering and machining as well. In his spare time, he enjoys rebuilding exotic cars, motorcycles, and even a gas turbine. When he’s not working on one of his many projects, he loves spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Plant Manager

Brad Kueter is the go to guy when it comes to any new project in the company; the practical knowledge he brings to the table is second to none. From part development to tooling diagnostics at your facility, he’ll get you headed in the right direction. In his spare time, he races motorcycles on road courses and loves building race bikes.

Jordan Lahr

Production Manager

Jordan got his start at UTD while in high school. Upon graduation from NICC, Jordan joined UTD full time in 2005 in its production operations. Jordan is managing the production needs and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the industry with new employees.

Shannon Mussman

Quality Manager

Shannon started off as being our purchasing manager here at Uelner, at which he excelled. When the position of Quality Manager became available, he jumped at the chance to dive into the quality field on top of purchasing! Dedication and drive for advancement are two of his top priorities and thus makes him an integral part of the Uelner Family. His hobbies include being a Corvette lover and all in all car connoisseur.

Jeff Zapf

Controller

Jeff is the Controller at Uelner. Invoicing and billing all run through his desk. So, if you have a question about payment terms or schedules, he’s the guy you talk to. Jeff is also an avid fisherman down at his local lake and is always bringing us fresh fillets during the summer.

Billy Clauer

Documents Data Controller

Billy is the documents data controller for everyone here at Uelner. She takes care of setting up jobs, printing all the shippers, managing the incoming purchase orders and delegating to the appropriate department. She is also the first voice you get to hear when you call the office. She is the newest member of Uelner and has done a fantastic job from the day she started.
